The manufacturing of gift boxes is one of Arita’s local industries which can be traced back to the Dutch East India Company and the packaging of Arita Ware. During the period of national isolation of Japan, packaging and packing materials such as wooden boxes, barrels and wrapping papers, played an important role in the export of goods from Deshima (Nagasaki). In the 1950s, cardboard boxes became popular and luxurious packaging boxes were created to add extra value to gift items. 沿革 1956 佐賀県西松浦郡有田町に本土敏夫が一新堂を創業 1976 現在地へ移転 1989 工場増設 1991 組織を改め「株式会社一新堂」を設立佐賀国際デザインコンペティション大賞 1992 佐賀国際デザインコンペティション最優秀賞 1996 障害者雇用優良事業所として表彰 2017 定時制雇用優良事業所として表彰 2018 デザイナー古賀正裕氏と「ISSHINDO FOLDING BOX」を開発
